• Wear a dark top with no patterns

  • Secure a location for your taping that is quite and has minimum visual and auditory disruptions

  • If possible, secure a location that has a solid white wall for you to stand in front of

  • Depending on your location, you may need to prop you laptop up on something to achieve the best angle for your recording

  • Check your hair, make-up, and teeth before beginning the taping


  • Practice your script before the taping

  • Open your script on your computer and place it as close to your computer’s camera as possible

  • Before you begin speaking, take a deep breath in through your nose, not your mouth

  • Try not to move your body forwards or backwards during the taping

  • Add inflections into your script, as if you’re having a conversation with the audience

  • Try not to speak too quickly

  • Remember to smile before speaking and smile again at the end of your script (hold your smile for 10 seconds)
